West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jake Livermore has been called up by England, leaving several Baggies fans perplexed.

West Brom fans have been reacting on Twitter to the news that the Baggies confirmed on their official website that Jake Livermore has been called up to the England squad for their upcoming friendlies.
Like many of his West Brom teammates, Livermore has not enjoyed the best run of form this season and has come in for plenty of criticism from his own supporters as Tony Pulis’ men still await their first win since August and hover dangerously close to the bottom three in the Premier League.

His performances alongside Gareth Barry and Grzegorz Krychowiak in the centre of midfield have been unconvincing and the trio’s apparent inability to adapt to playing alongside each other has been one of the reasons why West Brom go into this international break with no wins in nine league games.

Unsurprisingly, the news has received a fairly negative reaction on social media, with many West Brom fans confused as to what Livermore has done to earn the call-up.
The former Hull man’s form has not been what it was last season when he was recalled to the international setup earlier this year after five years away, and some Baggies fans are convinced that Gareth Southgate has not been watching their games.
It must be mentioned however, that many have thrown their support behind the midfielder ahead of the games. Here is the best of the reaction…
