West Brom fans have taken to Twitter in the wake of their 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday to vent their frustration at the performance of Jake Livermore, who, like a number of his teammates, failed to make much of an impact at St Mary’s.

The Baggies went into the game on the south coast looking to end their run without a win that stretches back to August, having drawn four and lost three of their previous seven games in all competitions.

But unfortunately for Tony Pulis’ men, the frustration over a disappointing performance throughout the game was compounded in the 85th minute when Sofiane Boufal danced from inside his own half all the way to the edge of the box when he curled a brilliant finish past Ben Foster for the game’s only goal.

One of the five players Boufal beat to score the goal was Livermore, who is enduring a poor run of form and failed to provide an indication that he is going to snap out of it anytime soon against the Saints.

The £10 million January signing (via BBC Sport) disappointed in the holding role, and that prompted a number of West Brom fans to take to social media following the game to vent their anger.

As one fan points out, Pulis arguably has a squad at his disposal that is capable of doing so much better than they currently are, and there is no question that the supporters currently believe Livermore to be one of the players who is currently underperforming.
