West Brom supporters have been giving their views on the Scot’s Norwich move on social media.
After spending a productive spell on loan at Norwich City, Graham Dorrans has now completed a permanent move to the newly promoted Premier League side from West Brom.
Dorrans played both in the top flight for the Midlands club last term and the Championship for Norwich. In the end, he looks to have impressed one team more than the other…
| Premier League & Championship | Chances Created | Accurate Crosses | Final-Third Passes | Appearances | Minutes Played |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chris Brunt | 50 | 56 | 290 | 34 | 2,895 |
| Graham Dorrans | 50 | 22 | 389 | 39 | 2,740 |
| James Morrison | 39 | 21 | 325 | 33 | 2,558 |
| Craig Gardner | 35 | 15 | 230 | 35 | 2,684 |
| Stéphane Sessegnon | 32 | 2 | 247 | 28 | 1,761 |
| Saido Berahino | 28 | 5 | 278 | 38 | 2,929 |
As Opta stats show, Dorrans created as many chances as any West Brom player last season, completing far more final-third passes than any of the Baggies.
Those figures, though, count for both the Premier League and Championship and the 28-year-old looked to have a better time of things at Norwich.
The move should really present a win-win situation for all involved. Speculation from fans about the fee for the Dorrans deal suggests West Brom have made a solid profit on the Scot, while the Canaries are obviously happy enough with his quality to bring him to Carrow Road on a permanent basis.
Some West Brom supporters, though, were disappointed and relished having a hard-working player like Dorrans at the Hawthorns. Here’s what the Baggies faithful made of his move to Norwich on Twitter:
