West Bromwich Albion’s automatic-promotion hopes were dealt a blow by their top four rivals.

West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to react to Everton loanee Mason Holgate’s performance during the Baggies’ 1-0 defeat at home to Sheffield United on Saturday.
Darren Moore’s men now find themselves four points back of the top three in the Championship after Kieran Dowell scored the game’s only goal at the Hawthorns with an early header.
With Chris Wilder’s men third heading into the game, it was a fantastic opportunity for West Brom to strike a real psychological blow having scored a stoppage-time winner away at Queens Park Rangers in midweek to make it three wins out of four.
But the Baggies missed out on that chance to send a message to their promotion rivals. And Holgate was one of the players who left the fans disappointed after the game.

Some felt that the Toffees youngster actually did not play that badly, but almost all of the fans on social media are suggesting that it was arguably his worst performance for West Brom as they have generally been incredibly impressed with the impact that he has made.
It must be mentioned that several fans lauded Holgate for being the player who stayed out on the pitch for the longest time after the game to applaud the supporters. But his display has been criticised.
