West Bromwich Albion bounced back from their weekend defeat by drawing away at Anfield.

West Brom fans have been heaping praise upon Claudio Yacob on Twitter after the Baggies bounced back from their weekend defeat to Swansea by claiming a point from their trip to Anfield to face Liverpool.
Crystal Palace’s win over Watford on Tuesday sent Alan Pardew’s men into the bottom three in the Premier League heading into the clash with the Reds – and given Liverpool’s attacking strength, the travelling West Brom fans would have been forgiven for being pessimistic about their chances of picking up a positive result.

A number of players stepped up against Jurgen Klopp’s side however. Ahmed Hegazi was excellent in the victory and Grzegorz Krychowiak arguably put in one of his better performances since arriving at The Hawthorns in the summer.
But it was the performance of Yacob which seemed to receive amongst the most praise on social media following the game – and for some, it is another reminder of why the decision to get rid of Tony Pulis earlier in the campaign was the right one.

Yacob started just once this season before Pulis’ departure, but has been a much more important player under Pardew – arguably because of the injury that Gareth Barry sustained in the new boss’ first game in charge.
And his combative qualities in the middle of the park have certainly made the side a lot more difficult to break down – and that has led a number of West Brom fans to express their delight at his return to the side.
Here is the best of the reaction…
