The Baggies are gearing up for a crucial season in which they hope to bring Premier League football back to The Hawthorns.

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the announcement that their Championship game with Huddersfield Town at The Hawthorns has been selected for live television screening by Sky Sports.

As confirmed by the official Baggies website, the game between last term’s playoff semi-finalists and the side which finished bottom of the Premier League last season will now be played on Sunday 22 September, 12pm BST kickoff.

The news has not gone down particularly well with much of the West Brom fanbase, especially given the games either side of the Terriers clash – away at Fulham and away at Queens Park Rangers – have also been moved to early kickoffs.

Here is some of the reaction on social media from the Albion faithful:

With Slaven Bilic at the helm, optimism amongst the West Brom fanbase is high ahead of the new season, with plenty of hopes of a return to the Premier League in 2020 after falling just short last term.

The Baggies begin the season this Saturday with a trip to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest, though it is a late kickoff, and by the looks of it, it could be one of many this term that the Albion fans will have to put up with.
