Chris Brunt of Northern Ireland celebrates with his team-mates after scoring their second goal
West Brom fans have been reacting on Twitter after Jonny Evans and Chris Brunt inspired Northern Ireland to a victory over Czech Republic at Windsor Park.
Michael O’Neill’s men secured second place in their World Cup qualifying group and took a giant leap towards booking a play-off spot by claiming the three points that their opponents desperately needed to keep their own qualification hopes alive.

And Northern Ireland had a pair of West Brom players to largely thank for the win, with Evans and Brunt scoring the goals in the 2-0 win.
Evans – who was linked with a deadline day move to Manchester City last week, as reported by The Sun – opened the scoring with a header from Brunt’s corner, before the winger doubled the lead.

The second goal came from an exquisitely-taken free-kick as he curled the ball around the wall despite the set-piece being situated in a fairly central position.
Unsurprisingly, many West Brom fans have been celebrating the result on social media with two of their players sharing the goals.
One fan even pointed out how good it is to be a fan of Tony Pulis’ side right now given the window that they enjoyed coupled with the good form that a number of their players seem to be displaying.
Here is the best of the reaction…
