West Brom fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports coming out of the Guardian which suggested that the Baggies are considering a move for Everton striker Oumar Niasse this month.

Alan Pardew’s men are in desperate need of some inspiration during the January transfer window with the side boasting no wins in the Premier League since August and the team currently sat second-bottom in the table.

Scoring goals has certainly been their main problem, with 16 goals scored in 22 games, so it is absolutely no surprise that West Brom are looking to bolster their striker options before this month’s deadline.

The Guardian reports that the Baggies are one of the handful of top flight sides who are interested in signing Niasse this month, and, like Brighton and Crystal Palace, they are prepared to meet the Toffees’ asking price of £13 million for the Senegal international.

The reports have received a very mixed response on social media. Some fans are unconvinced that the 27-year-old will be able to solve West Brom’s problems in front of goal having struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Toffees’ team during his time at Goodison Park.

However, some other supporters believe that Niasse’s impressive record – he has scored five times in 11 league games, having only started on five occasions – would make him a very good addition to the squad, and thus, they are hoping that the Baggies manage to get a deal across the line.

Here is the best of the reaction…
