Ben Foster has confirmed that he wants to stay at West Bromwich Albion next season, even if they are not in the Premier League.

West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to laud Ben Foster after the goalkeeper confirmed, in comments reported by the Express and Star, that he plans to stay at The Hawthorns even if they are relegated to the Championship for next season.
Despite picking up a point at the weekend, the situation looks incredibly bleak for the Baggies this season with 10 points separating them from safety and just five games to save themselves from the drop.

Even the most optimistic of West Brom fans would be forgiven for finding it difficult to suggest a reason why they still have a chance of staying up this term. And whenever a relegation happens, usually, a mass clear-out is never too far away.
But while several players may leave the club in the coming months, Foster has quashed any suggestion that his future may lie elsewhere by insisting that he has no intention to move on at the end of the season.

“I’ll be here,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star. “I’ve got no interest in trying to move clubs.
“I’m very settled and I’m sure there are quite a few others who would love to stay and help us get back to the Premier League.”
Of course, Foster wanting to stay may not guarantee that he will be at the club next season if the Baggies receive a substantial offer and make it clear that they wish to sell perhaps. But it is certainly an encouraging sign.
And on social media, the West Brom fans were full of praise for Foster after his comments and insisted that keeping him at The Hawthorns will be a major boost ahead of a pivotal summer for the club.
Here is the best of the reaction…
