A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to wish young forward Owen Windsor the best of luck after he announced his arrival at the West Midlands club.

The 17-year-old made his breakthrough last season for Southern League Division One side Cirencester Town, where in seven league starts, Windsor netted six times, according to Gloucestershire Live.

The outlet reported that Windsor, who has previously been on the books of Swindon Town and Southampton, helped Charlie Griffin’s side reach the playoff semi-finals, where they were defeated by Gloucestershire rivals Cinderford Town at the Corinium Stadium.

While West Brom’s official Twitter account and website appear as if they are yet to announce Windsor’s arrival as of early Friday morning, the player himself posted a message on Twitter in which he proudly announced that he had signed his first professional contract.

The teenager, who according to the Birmingham Mail was on the radar of Chelsea, is believed to have penned a three-year contract at The Hawthorns.

Here is some of the reaction to the tweet as Baggies welcomed him on board and wished him all the best in their academy, while Cirencester fans bid him farewell and also wished him good luck:
