The WBA youngster netted a long-range goal in their latest PL2 win – some Baggies fans want Slaven Bilic to consider him for the Hawthorns first team.

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to praise Nick Clayton-Phillips’ goalscoring display in the Baggies Under-23s 3-1 win over their Fulham counterparts on Monday night.
Michael Appleton grabbed his first three points since taking charge of the West Brom U23s thanks to a solid display from his charges at Motspur Park in the Premier League 2 second division game.
Albion claimed an early lead against the Cottagers through Rayhaan Tulloch, before Clayton-Phillips doubled their advantage when he bore down on goal and let rip with a fine curling effort from outside the box.
Although Fulham halved the deficit through Josh Onomah’s deflected free kick, West Brom restored their two-goal advantage – which they would subsequently not relinquish – when Jamie Soule struck with under 10 minutes remaining.
West Brom’s display was impressive and Clayton-Phillips’ goal in particular saw plenty of praise from the Hawthorns faithful on social media:
Clayton-Phillips, 19, spent the latter stages of the 2018-19 season on loan at Vanarama National League North side Kidderminster Harriers, having featured regularly in the Premier League 2 team during the last couple of campaigns (West Brom website).
