The Baggies loanee was superb as The Hawthorns side claimed a great victory at the weekend.

A number of West Bromwich Albion have taken to Twitter to comment on the EFL’s Team of the Week, namely criticising it for the absence of Matheus Pereira from the line-up after his masterclass in the weekend’s 2-0 Championship win at Queens Park Rangers.
The 23-year-old was superb as the Baggies secured all three points at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, showing impressive footwork as he had the opposition defenders on strings for much of the game, and he claimed the killer second goal for West Brom – and his first for Slaven Bilic’s side – via a free kick.
While West Brom teammate Nathan Ferguson was named in the XI, Pereira was not – cue some Baggies fans questioning the decision, as seen below in several social media comments:
The Brazilian winger, who spent last year in the Bundesliga with Nurnberg on loan from Sporting Lisbon, was one of West Brom’s main summer targets, with talks having gone on for weeks before a breakthrough was made just before the transfer deadline, as confirmed by Luke Dowling (official website).
Pereira, who scored three goals and claimed two assists in 19 Bundesliga appearances last season (Transfermarkt), became Albion’s fourth transfer deadline day signing this summer, and so far he has made eight appearances for Albion this term (Transfermarkt).
