West Bromwich Albion have failed to kick on under Tony Pulis.
Baggies director of football administration Richard Garlick responded to fans at an Assembly meeting at The Hawthorns last night, regarding the future of current manager Tony Pulis, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The 59-year-old has endured heavy criticism from the West Brom faithful of late, with his side struggling in the Premier League in a lowly 16th position, and the brand of football on show at the Hawthorns being bland to say the very least.
Pulis has managed to stabilise the Black Country outfit, since his appointment as manager in January 2015, to the point that they are now considered to be a well-established Premier League side, and the criticism that he receives sometimes seems to be a little harsh.
Things won’t get any easier for the Baggies though, with a visit from Premier League champions Chelsea next up on the agenda, and a defeat at home to Antonio Conte’s men really could spell trouble for Pulis.
And Garlick certainly didn’t refute that suggestion, when addressing fans at an Assembly meeting at the Hawthorns last night, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“Ultimately (owner, Guochuan) Lai has the final say. Who knows what will happen if things turn sour against Chelsea. I get the impression nothing will happen imminently. I wouldn’t say they have ignored anything. They are well aware of situation. And that it can’t continue. They just haven’t acted or decided to make a change yet.”

There is so much pressure on managers these days, and Pulis could very well be the next man to lose his job, as clubs continue to make brash decisions, with their Premier League future in doubt.
