West Bromwich Albion have made a respectable start to their Premier League campaign, and currently sit 13th in the table.
West Brom’s Jonas Olsson and Darren Fletcher
West Brom’s veteran centre-back Jonas Olsson insisted that he will be patient in regards to his hopes of gaining more regular first-team football at the Hawthorns, when speaking live on BBC Radio.
The 33-year-old Sweden international has appeared in just a third of Albion’s Premier League games so far this season, despite being a mainstay in the Baggies defence over the last few years.
The eight-year West Brom stalwart spoke to BBC Radio about his current situation, and explained how he will continue to work hard as he looks to prove his worth to Tony Pulis:

“I just have to try my best when called upon. It’s tough competition for me – I’ve been out of the team for a good month and a half. But I just have to train well – hopefully me and Gareth have a few more games left in us.”
Olsson played against Liverpool on Saturday due to the absence of suspended Jonny Evans, but with the Northern Irishman expected to return for the visit of Manchester City on Saturday, the Swede could return to the bench.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis
The 6 ft 5 in centre-back has made 256 appearances for the Baggies during his eight-year spell with the club, and has established himself as a fan favourite with his no-nonsence, fully committed displays for his club.
Whether Olsson is playing or not, his presence amongst the first-team squad is surely a positive thing, and he must be someone who Tony Pulis will want to keep around for the foreseeable future.
