West Bromwich Albion reportedly pull out of the race for Fabian Delph.
Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez
West Bromwich Albion are looking to replace Darren Fletcher, who joined Stoke City last week, but they won’t be making a move for Fabian Delph.
The 27-year-old England international has endured a frustrating 2016/17 campaign under Pep Guardiola, and he is not in the Spaniard’s first team plans.
The former Aston Villa player is likely to move this summer, but West Brom reportedly [Express and Star] are not willing to match his £90k-per-week wages.
With the Baggies moving away from the race, it could pave way for Newcastle United to secure a deal for him.

The Guardian reported last month that Rafa Benitez would be interested in bringing Delph to St James’ Park this summer, and he would arguably be a top signing for the club.
Delph may not have made a strong impression at City, but that does not make him a bad player overnight. He clearly has the talent to play for a team that are aiming for survival or to finish high up in the Premier League table.

At 27, he is about to enter the best years of his career, and he could rediscover his best form under the tutelage of Benitez.
His signing would be a major statement of intent, and in theory should form a superb midfield combo alongside Jonjo Shelvey in the the middle of the park.
