West Bromwich Albion star Salomon Rondon had been the subject of a £32 million January bid, but the Baggies chairman has made the club’s stance clear.

West Brom chairman John Williams has made it clear that Salomon Rondon will not be going anywhere before the transfer window in China closes on Tuesday following a bid from one club from the country during the January transfer window, the Birmingham Mail reports.
According to the Mail, the Baggies received a bid worth £32 million from Tianjin Quanjian last month, but it was swiftly rejected by the Premier League outfit.
And perhaps fearing that another offer could be on its way in the final hours of the Chinese Super League window, Williams has made it clear what will happen if another bid comes in.
“He’s not for sale,” he simply said, as reported by the Mail.
While every player has their price, and some of the fees that have come from Chinese clubs would surely appeal to West Brom if they received a similar bid for the Venezuelan, Tony Pulis will undoubtedly be delighted that the 27-year-old is set to stay at the Hawthorns.

If he left on Tuesday, not only would they be losing their top goalscorer but they would also not have an opportunity to replace him until the summer, meaning that Pulis would only have the likes of Hal Robson-Kanu and Jonathan Leko to pick from up front.
And with the Baggies well on their way to securing an eighth-place finish in the top flight, letting Rondon go would surely be a massive mistake no matter how much money a Chinese side could put on the table.
