West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis says he is already looking to January as he aims to make key additions to strengthen his side following their 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, Sky Sports report.
The Baggies maintained their decent form of late as they picked up a 1-1 draw with Spurs, though it could have been much better for the hosts as Nacer Chadli thought he found a winner against his former club after 82 minutes.
The Belgium international has been a revelation for West Brom this season following his switch from White Hart Lane, yet his late strike was ultimately cancelled out by Dele Alli a minute from time.
The 1-1 draw keeps West Brom momentarily in the top half of the table, yet Pulis made some pretty clear remarks regarding the strength of his squad after the match.
Talking to Sky Sports after the full-time whistle, the Baggies boss admits he already has one eye on January as he looks to make key additions and consolidate his side as a top-10 challenger.
“We have a tough run of fixtures coming up and we have to get through that and then hopefully when the window opens up we will be able to add one or two that can give us that push to make us even better,” Pulis explained.
West Brom have yet to play the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea yet, therefore Pulis may have a better idea of his squad’s capabilities after the upcoming games.
It is clear that an extra goalscoring threat from midfield and a new forward can be added to the mix, while strengthening the full-back positions could also be deemed as a priority at the Hawthorns.
