Liverpool were held to a draw by West Bromwich Albion yesterday.

West Bromwich Albion manager Darren Moore addressed the media after his side’s hard fought draw with Liverpool yesterday, and responded to comments made bu Jürgen Klopp regarding the state of the pitch at the Hawthorns, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Baggies have found a new lease of life under the guidance of Moore, but they are still consigned to relegation, with eight points separating them from safety, and only three games left with which to save themselves.

It will be vitally important for West Brom to finish this season strongly, though, so that they at least head into next season in England’s second tier with positive vibes.
Klopp blamed the firmness of the pitch at the Hawthorns for his side’s failure to beat the Baggies yesterday, and Moore offered reporters a bullish response, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“It wasn’t a ploy, it was a hot day! It was a really hot day today. I was so engrossed in the game and the preparation side, my focus wan’t about the pitch believe it or not.”
Next up for the Black Country outfit is a trip to Newcastle United on Saturday, and depending on results elsewhere, they could have their relegation down to the Championship confirmed, but with Moore at the helm, there is at least reason to be positive for next season.
