West Bromwich Albion manager Darren Moore has told The Birmingham Mail that Oliver Burke will return to the club following his loan spell at Celtic.

Burke has joined Scottish Premiership giants Celtic on loan from West Brom in the Championship in England in the January transfer window, as announced on the Hoops’ official website.

The former Nottingham Forest winger is scheduled to stay at Celtic Park until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old winger has suggested to The Scottish Sun that he could stay at the Glasgow giants beyond the summer of 2019, but West Brom manager Moore has made it clear that he wants the youngster back at The Hawthorns.

Moore told The Birmingham Mail about Burke: “We want to get him back. If Oli is back in the shop window, it’s because he’s doing well for Celtic.

“But the magnificent thing is he’s our player. He’s being developed to be brought back here for West Brom.

“We hope to see him back here in the summer after a succession of games and goals.”

West Bromwich Albion return

Burke has not had the best of times since he left Forest, and the youngster will be looking to make the most of his chances at Celtic.

If the youngster does well at the Bhoys, then it is going to enhance his confidence, and that will help him break into the West Brom first team next season.

The Baggies are aiming to win automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season.
