Arsenal fans got themselves pretty giddy about Wesley Fofana on Saturday.
The Leicester defender was spotted in Dubai wearing an Arsenal shirt, and that’s all Gunners fans needed. The train had left the station, and there was no turning back.
Arsenal fans quickly began hoping that Fofana wearing their shirt meant that the defender wanted a move to the Gunners this summer.
Some oven wondered whether Fofana had William Saliba’s name on the back. The pair previously came through at Saint-Etienne together and a reunion could be appealing.
Let’s be real though; Arsenal aren’t signing Fofana this summer. Leicester struck a £36.5million deal for the Frenchman last summer and would certainly demand a huge profit now.
Whilst Saliba has yet to start a Premier League game for Arsenal, Fofana – aged just 20 – has excelled in the top flight.

Seeing Fofana and Saliba turn out out for Arsenal together would be great one day, but the Foxes star has explained the photo – and those Gunners dreams will have to be put to one side.
Fofana has taken to Twitter to admit that he has been tricked into wearing a Gunners shirt. Fofana added that he thought it was a private photo, and is ‘angry’ that it has been distributed.
The defender added that he has no problem with red, but blue is the colour in his heart right now, whilst apologising to Arsenal fans who got themselves all worked up.
