Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham will probably not play for England as long as he is at Ibrox.

Foderingham, who is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in Graeme Murty’s side, has represented England at the Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 levels.

The 27-year-old has ambition to play for the Three Lions, but as long as he is at Rangers, he is unlikely to get the chance to do so.
The former Crystal Palace and Swindon Town goalkeeper is not getting any younger, and if he wants to play for the Three Lions even once, then he will have to find a club in England, preferably in the Premier League.
If Rangers get to play in the Champions League in the coming years, it could help the 27-year-old’s chances, but it is hard to see England head coach Gareth Southgate pick him ahead of Joe Hart, Jack Butland or Jordan Pickford.

What Foderingham can do is work hard, play well and establish himself as the best goalkeeper in the Scottish Premiership.
Leaving Rangers for a club in the Championship in England would not be a great move, as the Gers are one of the biggest and the most historic in the world.
