Wes Foderingham played in just two Scottish Premiership games for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers last season.
It looks like Wes Foderingham is stuck at Ibrox.
One of the first names on Rangers’ team-sheet during the days of Mark Warburton, Pedro Caixinha and Graeme Murty, the goalkeeper is now collecting splinters on the bench rather than shots between the sticks.
Foderingham played just twice in the Scottish Premiership last season with the return of Allan McGregor consigning him to second choice and life in reserve.
Back in February, the former Swindon stopper hinted that he would consider a move away from Rangers at the end of the season, telling the Scottish Sun that he would look at all the options available to him.
But it seems that decision has been taken out of his hands.
The Sun claims that Rangers have not received a single offer for the 28-year-old all summer long. Foderingham, it seems, is set for another 12 months in purgatory.
And things could still get worse before they get better.
Manager Steven Gerrard is a big fan of Andy Firth, the goalkeeper he signed from non-league Barrow in January after they worked together in Liverpool’s youth team.
Firth has impressed in pre-season and could he challenge Foderingham a place on the bench in the next few months?
