Arsenal were rumoured to be interested in the West Bromwich Albion defender during the summer.

West Bromwich Albion fans have expressed concern about Jonny Evans’ recent performances, after Monday’s 2-0 defeat against Arsenal.
Evans has shone since his 2015 move to the Hawthorns from Manchester United, and was linked with moves to Manchester City and Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
The Northern Ireland defender was sidelined with a thigh problem while the speculation was ongoing, but has since returned to captain West Brom in all four of their Premier League and Carabao Cup fixtures during the month of September.

But despite being unbeaten without him, the Baggies have failed to win any of their games with Evans in the team.
Here’s what West Brom fans are saying after their side’s Emirates Stadium setback…
A goal in each half from Alexandre Lacazette handed Arsenal all three points in the capital, although the match was overshadowed by two separate refereeing controversies, with Jay Rpdrgiuez denied a penalty at one end and Evans penalised for conceding one at the other.
Has the recent speculation affected Jonny Evans’ form for West Bromwich Albion?
