FIFA president Gianni Infantino has discussed his relationship with the United States President, Donald Trump.

Infantino worked closely with Trump in the build-up to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

They have both received criticism for various reasons, including ticket prices, but the event has been a resounding success so far.

Not only have the top players delivered incredible moments, but the atmosphere in and around the stadiums has been great.

While Infantino has already attended several games, Trump is expected to be at the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium.

The FIFA president has now explained his relationship with Trump and whether the 80-year-old will present the trophy.

Gianni Infantino says he and Donald Trump are ‘together all the time’

Trump made the headlines at the Club World Cup last summer when he took part in Chelsea’s title celebrations.

After handing the trophy to Chelsea captain Reece James, Trump stood in the middle of the squad during the celebrations.

Trump’s controversial involvement has raised questions about whether he will participate in the World Cup trophy presentation.

FIFA have confirmed they have had no involvement in the USA's decision to deny Somali referee Omar Artan a visa to officiate at the World Cup

Should the World Cup hosts be behaving like that? 🤔

Infantino has now revealed that the US president will hand the Jules Rimet trophy to the winning captain next month.

“We will be together with the president, enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course,” Infantino told Fox and Friends.

Infantino insisted that they speak regularly and have a close relationship. “Of course, we are together all the time,” he said.

Undoubtedly, Trump will be at the centre of attention once more after the final whistle of the World Cup final.
