Jurgen Klopp has revealed that nobody at Liverpool is ‘exactly sure’ about Thiago’s injury.

The Reds’ summer signing was the victim of a rash challenge in the Merseyside derby with Everton a couple of weeks ago, with Richarlison being sent off for the foul.

Klopp’s side have won their three games across all competitions since that day at Goodison Park but Thiago has sat out all three of the.

And although the Liverpool boss claims that the former Bayern Munich star is in a ‘good way’, the German still isn’t sure of the severity or how long he’ll be sidelined.

He told The Daily Mail: “You saw the incident with Thiago, we’re not exactly sure as nothing was broken but it needs time to settle. nobody can tell us exactly how long.

“He’s desperate to make the next steps, if he will be ready for tomorrow we will see.”

The fact that Klopp said that a check will be done to see if he’s fit for West Ham United today is a good sign.

Because he would hardly be anywhere near ready to face David Moyes’s side if he was hobbling around the place at Melwood.

But it’s still a bit of a concern for Liverpool because if their experts aren’t 100 percent sure about the injury itself, rushing him back could be a giant mistake.
