Mikel Arteta has claimed that Arsenal are ‘looking at different options in different positions’ when asked about the club possibly signing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City this summer, as he told Sky Sports.
The Arsenal boss was coy on the possible transfer and told supporters when there is an update on the situation ‘we will let you know’.
It seems as though the Gunners are pretty keen to bring Zinchenko to north London, and judging by Arteta’s comments, it’s probably a matter of the deal pushing forward.

In one of the latest updates regarding the deal, it seems as though Manchester City are planning life without the Ukraine international.
Pep Guardiola seemingly wants to bring Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella to the Etihad, which would then open the door for Arsenal to sign Zinchenko.
Nonetheless, when Arteta was asked to provide an update on the possible Zinchenko deal, he issued this response to fans.
“There are no updates with anybody,” said Arteta. “When we update, then we will let you know.
On whether Zinchenko would fit Arsenal’s profile: “We are looking at different options in different positions. Then, we will give you an update when we have it.
On getting deals done as quickly as possible: “We are trying to do that. We have to be in the market to keep improving the squad, but there are so many parties involved and sometimes things aren’t as quick as you want.”

BIG PRESSURE ON ARTETA
The Arsenal owners have come under huge stick over the years from their fans, but they can’t be critical of late.
Those in the Emirates boardroom backed Arteta last season and they are pushing the boat out for the former midfielder once again.
Depending on what happens from now until the transfer window slams shut, Arsenal could be the top spenders in the Premier League once again.
Whatever happens, Arteta is being backed, as securing Champions League football has always been the main aim, but it hasn’t been delivered yet.
You have to feel if that Champions League line isn’t crossed next season, then Arteta might just be in trouble.
