Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after a GIF emerged of Tanguy Ndombele wriggling his way out of pressure last night.
The 6-cap France international found himself being intensely harried by Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic at one point during the second-half.
However, while it looked like he was going to lose possession, Ndombele twisted and turned his way to safety in impressive fashion.
A GIF like this would’ve surely been met with adoration had Tottenham won.
However, some Spurs fans have expressed frustration with the footage, as the skill eventually led to nothing and was largely meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
One supporter asked for the GIF to be widened, so people could see that no other Tottenham player was offering an option to the £53.8 million man.
Having an exciting source of creativity such as Ndombele in this drab, lifeless side really does feel quite pointless right now.
There is rarely any movement ahead of the 24-year-old, and his talents are being wasted under Jose Mourinho, in our view.
Tottenham had just two shots on target last night, and seven attempts in total while Chelsea had 18 shots and won five more corners, as WhoScored shows.
Perhaps the performance simply made fans grumpy and unwilling to react positively to the GIF of Ndombele, and we don’t blame them at all.
