It’s all going off at Leeds as they prepare to speed up their ship towards Europe next season.
Whilst others look to secure the talents of more familiar faces, Leeds are dipping their hands into other waters.
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport have claimed that Leeds are ‘very close’ to signing Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez this summer.
After finishing the recently concluded Premier League campaign in the top ten, the next step for Leeds is to add depth and move their squad forward.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Marcelo Bielsa knew of Nandez’s talents when he started off his career at Boca Juniors because he certainly has his DNA.
But that road can now lead him to Yorkshire and Elland Road, all of which has got the Leeds faithful pretty excited.
With what was a pretty thin squad last season, Bielsa worked his magic and gave a number of teams across the division a difficult time.
Imagine what Bielsa could do if he added more depth and quality to his squad because Leeds fans can dream of European tours again, if that’s the case.
A player with the capability of adapting to various positions and with bundles of energy in his legs, it’s no surprise that Bielsa is targeting a man on Nandez’s qualities.
Stuart Dallas is perhaps the one who sets the tone on the energy front, but he might have someone to compete with him next season if Nandez does indeed join.
