Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after it was announced that Kalvin Phillips has pulled out of the England squad due to injury.
Phillips is suffering with a calf strain, so he has dropped out of Gareth Southgate’s squad with James Ward-Prowse coming in to replace him.
Luckily, with England’s next two fixtures coming against Andorra and Hungary, Phillips shouldn’t be missed too much by the Three Lions, but as you can imagine, Leeds fans were rather concerned by this update.
Leeds are in the midst of a bit of an injury crisis right now. Luke Ayling, Robin Koch and Patrick Bamford are all out right now, and Phillips’ injury only makes matters worse.
The Yorkshire club are reportedly hopeful that Phillips won’t miss any Leeds games due to this issue, but that hasn’t stopped the Elland Road faithful from getting into a bit of a frenzy.
