Don Hutchison has stated on ESPN ‘we are getting Arnaut Danjuma‘ and ‘everything is going to be alright’ after it was joked to him that he will try to get Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford to move to Goodison Park.
The former Everton midfielder was told to start, bench or drop the following three players: Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Riyad Mahrez.
All three have been bang in form since the return of domestic football after the World Cup, with Hutchison starting Manchester United’s goal-crazy forward Rashford, putting dead-ball specialist Mahrez on the bench and dropping Arsenal’s star boy, Saka.
Well, over the weekend, Saka will feel that he won the battle against his fellow countryman because his outrageous long-range effort, after Rashford’s stunning opener, helped Mikel Arteta’s side beat Manchester United 3-2 on home soil.
After Hutchison put forward his options, he was mocked by his fellow pundits, including former Scotland international, Craig Burley.
“He will have Rashford going to Everton next,” joked Burley.
Hutchison responded: “We are getting Danjuma. Everything is going to be alright.”
DANJUMA TO JOIN EVERTON MESS?
Well, despite the sacking of Frank Lampard on Monday, it seems as though Danjuma will still secure a move from Villarreal to Goodison Park before January’s deadline.
When Lampard was booted out, the Netherlands international posted on Twitter that he was ‘born ready’, as Everton supporters flooded in with their messages and expressed how they are excited he is about to join.
There are suggestions that Danjuma has already completed his medical on Merseyside ahead of his move, with one report claiming that Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace even tried to sign him up, but failed to do so.
Instead, Everton fans, and even probably the players, can’t probably wait to push him through their doors because it’s very much needed.
