A dramatic day for UEFA finally saw the Round of 16 for the Champions League decided, with Liverpool facing off against Inter Milan.
A mistake in the initial draw saw the entire process repeated later today, with multiple matchups being changed. Liverpool, who were one of three sides to win all group stage games, were originally drawn against RB Salzburg, with the Reds now facing Inter.
Indeed, it was one of the most extraordinary days in modern-UEFA history. Other ties that saw dramatic changes were Manchester United swapping from PSG to Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid now facing the Ligue 1 giants after previously being paired with Benfica.
With the mistake now a thing of the past and the correct decision being made by UEFA to re-draw the Round of 16, eyes can now turn to the initial ties themselves. And Liverpool will be feeling their chances against Inter.
The Reds have been one of the best sides in Europe this campaign, and although Inter have impressed in both Serie A and the Champions League, the Italian giants will be there for the taking for Liverpool.
Players such as Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella will be relishing the chance to play at Anfield. Yet for Inter fans on social media, they are fearing the worst when their tie against Liverpool rolls around in February.
