Arsenal fans have been left gutted with the news that Bernd Leno could be out for a year with injury.

Goal claim that Arsenal feel that their German stopper could be unable to feature for much of next season as well as the rest of this campaign.

That would be a hammer blow for Arsenal, with Leno one of their stand out players this term.

And Arsenal fans are seriously concerned about the news.

If Leno is out for a year then Mikel Arteta’s side could be forced into the market to sign a goalkeeper this summer.

With Arsenal operating on a limited budget, the task of replacing Leno could be extremely difficult.

Leno has made more saves than any other Premier League goalkeeper this season, with the exception of Martin Dubravka.

In his absence Emiliano Martinez is expected to be Arsenal’s number one until the end of the season.
