Liverpool fans are fuming after it was announced that David Coote has been appointed as VAR for their game against Leicester City on Sunday.
Coote controversially was the VAR in Liverpool’s heated derby with Everton earlier in the campaign.
The official faced huge criticism over failing to send off Jordan Pickford, after the Everton stopper lunged into a tackle with Virgil van Dijk, which has left the Liverpool defender out for the season.
And Reds fans cannot believe that Coote will be officiating on their game again so quickly after that incident.
Coote is likely to be hoping that Liverpool’s game with Leicester can go off without any controversial incidents now.
Coote’s every decision is set to be carefully analysed by Liverpool fans, who are still frustrated with his previous calls.
Jurgen Klopp’s side go into the game arguably as underdogs, simply due to the sheer volume of injuries they have.
Liverpool could be without the entirety of their usual back four, and Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Mohamed Salah are all also set to be sidelined.
