Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Club posted a tweet welcoming Jack Grealish back to Villa Park, ahead of tonight’s game.
What’s the story?
Well, the £100m man will be returning to Villa Park tonight for the first time since his record breaking move to Manchester City.
Ahead of the Premier League clash, Aston Villa took to Twitter to thank Grealish for the memories, and say that everyone welcomes him back.
Interestingly, the tweet was met with a number of angry responses from the Villa Park faithful, who clearly disagree with that sentiment.
One fan called their own club a ‘joke’ whereas another supporter described the post as an ’embarrassing’ one – they are furious in the Midlands.
Should he see the responses, Grealish may be having second thoughts about applauding all four sides of Villa Park.
The 26-year-old told the Telegraph that he plans to do so no matter what the result is, but sadly, we fear he will only be met with boos.
Why Aston Villa fans dislike Jack Grealish

On the face of it, many are baffled as to why the Aston Villa fans dislike Grealish after everything he did for them.
The England international helped get the Villans promoted, played a crucial role in keeping them up, and then landed them £100m.
However, much of the frustration aimed towards him comes from what he was saying before leaving for the Etihad Stadium.
Grealish signed a new five-year deal in 2020, and said there were exciting times on the horizon which he couldn’t wait to be a part of.

One year later, he was gone.
One fan below even mentioned his off-field antics as reason to dislike him.
Without a doubt, it will be fascinating to see what reception he gets tonight.
For now, let’s see what the Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been saying about the Club’s tweet…
