Former Manchester United star, Kieran Richardson, has claimed that Arsenal are ’30 years off’ from winning the Premier League title again, as he told Vibe with Five.
Rio Ferdinand was in a fit of laughter from the claims made by his former teammate, as he thinks Man United are also ‘miles off it’, just like Arsenal.
It has been nearly 20 years since Arsenal last tasted glory at being champions of England, so from that perspective, they are heading towards the 30-year mark.
Mikel Arteta is building a young team in north London where he is hoping it can lead to the club, one day, returning back to the top of the tree of English football.
But Richardson, who played for Man United during his career, shared that he supports Arsenal and thinks ‘we are miles off it’.
“With Arsenal, we have our young players and we are thinking long-term,” said Richardson.
“We are miles off it. We are 30 years off it, bruv.”
Ferdinand then responded with laughter: “30 years off it? He said ’30 years off it’. Who wins the league first out of Arsenal and Man United?”
Richardson’s response: “It’s a hard one. We have the foundations. We have the young players. Man United haven’t even got that.”
Ferdinand then added: “You (Arsenal) got bare deadwood as well though. We do as well (Man United). We are miles off it also.”

With Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp bossing proceedings with Manchester City and Liverpool, respectively, then it’s going to take something special to overtake those two.
They are putting up 90+ points just to win the Premier League title, nevermind, losing a few games, you can’t even draw a few.
With seven Premier League games remaining, it will be interesting if both Man City and Liverpool will win their remaining games.
The pressure of having one another pushing for the title could result in a few slip-ups, added with their FA Cup semi-final meeting and their Champions League games, which could also see them meet in the final.
