Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter in anger after seeing a 10-second clip of something Moussa Sissoko did in extra-time against Dinamo Zagreb.
With time ticking away, the Spurs No.17 received the ball from Davinson Sanchez out on the right flank as Tottenham were 3-0 down.
With few opportunities left to attack, you would expect Sissoko to make a measured decision and ensure he finds a teammate.
However, without a second thought, the £30 million man swings his weaker left foot at the ball, lofting it high into the air aimlessly.
Then, Dinamo Zagreb win the header in midfield, and start an attack.
It was a woeful decision from the France international, at a time where Tottenham were crying out for a bit of measured quality.
What was going through Sissoko’s head? Was that something Jose Mourinho had instructed his players to do?
It very much seemed as if the 31-year-old simply didn’t want the ball, and was desperate to get rid of it as soon as physically possible.
Understandably, the Tottenham fans on Twitter were furious after watching this incident.
One supporter even said they ended up losing their voice after it happened!
