There’s already been one high-profile departure from Arsenal’s hierarchy in recent months.
Back in August, the Gunners made a surprising decision to part company with Head of Football Raul Sanllehi, shortly after Mikel Arteta led the club to FA Cup glory.
And according to a report, there’s been another exit in the upper echelons of Arsenal.
ESPN have reported that Huss Fahmy has left the North London club.
Fahmy, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium in 2017, had been Arsenal’s head of football operations and had a role not only in recruitment, but also player contracts.
But ESPN have claimed that he himself has decided to move on in an ‘amicable’ parting of ways.
The report also adds that Fahmy played a role in the addition of William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey, and that although Arsenal will hire a replacement for their lead negotiator, he will have less responsibility than the likes of Edu, Arteta and Per Mertesacker in terms of executive decisions.
Here’s how some fans of the Emirates Stadium outfit reacted to the news on Twitter:
