The Burnley loanee has made a strong impression at Loftus Road, despite not scoring for Queens Park Rangers yet.
Queens Park Rangers striker Nahki Wells is confident of turning his goal drought around and believes he can still hit double figures for the R’s this season, reports the Royal Gazette.
Wells joined QPR from Burnley in August and, although he has failed to get off the mark so far this term, the Bermudan international remains upbeat that the goals will start flowing.
“It’s only a matter of time before I get my season up and running goal-wise, because performance-wise I feel as though I’m doing everything I need to do, Wells told The Loftcast via the Royal Gazette.
The former Huddersfield Town man has been a big hit with Rangers fans with his dynamic and energetic displays and, given just a bit more time and good fortune, the first goal will come.
Boss Steve McClaren loaned Wells alongside fellow Premier League striker Tomer Hemed and the pair have given QPR a new lease of life, seeing the west Londoners climb from 24th to 18th.
The R’s have won four of the eight games that Wells has featured and although they still remain one of the lowest scorers in the Championship, Wells claims he is confident of hitting the back of the net.
“I’m playing regular football, so, at a minimum, I’m looking at double figures in terms of goals,” he said. “We have to believe we can get into the play-offs and achieve promotion. You have to believe it’s possible.
“I’ve settled in. It’s still been a short period of time, but it feels like I’ve been here a longer. Maybe that’s because they’re have been so many games in short succession.”

Wells will be looking to make it nine games lucky when QPR travel to Ipswich Town this weekend to face Paul Hurst’s strugglers before entertaining Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.
