
Toby Alderweireld has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur were not good enough last night despite taking home the win.
Spurs returned to the North part of London with a 1-0 victory after narrowly beating Fulham.
The Cottagers were unfortunate not to equalise when Josh Maja’s goal was dubiously chalked off in the second half for an earlier handball.
Tottenham started with Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Gareth Bale and Dele Alli but it was a dismal second-half display from Jose Mourinho’s side, who also needed an own goal to find the net.
And Alderweireld, speaking via the Lilywhites’ official Twitter account, has conceded that it wasn’t a good display from him and his team-mates.

Despite the performance, it was a good result for Mourinho’s side and one that takes them within five points of fourth place.
