Giovani Lo Celso admits he is uncertain about what the future holds at Tottenham Hotspur, speaking to Marca after leaving the Premier League giants for La Liga outfit Villarreal.
The London giants loaned out no less than three attacking midfielders during the January transfer window.
Tanguy Ndombele already looks like a man re-born back in familiar surroundings at Lyon, Bryan Gil has been a breath of fresh air at Valencia and, as far Lo Celso is concerned, well lets just say the Argentina international appears to be on the right track again after his Tottenham career went off the rails under Antonio Conte.
Lo Celso, a £42 million signing from Real Betis, has started all of Villarreal’s last five La Liga matches, coinciding with an impressive run of form that has the Castellon club closing in on the Champions League places.
According to Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, Villarreal will have the option to sign Lo Celso permanently this summer.
It remains to be seen whether this is an opportunity the Yellow Submarine plan to grasp with both hands. Or, for that matter, whether Lo Celso could still be offered a fresh start at a Spurs side who have lost five of their last eight Premier League games.
Has Gio Lo Celso played his final game for Tottenham?

“I try to enjoy the day to day,” Lo Celso says when asked about his future. “Each training session, each match.
“Later, football and life will tell what is happening. I don’t know what’s going to happen. But I do know that I’m working one hundred percent, that I’m going to give my best.
“We’ll see what happens in the summer.”
Dejan Kulusevski joined Spurs on deadline day as a replacement of sorts for Lo Celso.
And it’s fair to say the former has made a far bigger impact under Conte than the latter did. Kulusevski has five goals and assists in just seven Premier League games already and dazzled in the 5-0 thumping of Everton last week.
