Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed their disappointment that they haven’t been able to land a deal for Eberechi Eze.
The Telegraph say that Eze is set for Crystal Palace now, with Tottenham not putting up much of a fight in the battle to sign him.
Spurs were linked with a move for Eze in Football London back at the start of the summer, but they seemingly chose not to bid.
And many Tottenham fans feel that they have made an error by not snapping up the playmaker.
Eze ripped apart the Championship last term, so Tottenham fans’ apparent desire to see him brought to North London is understandable.
However, there are question marks over where he would slot into Jose Mourinho’s current system.
Eze thrives with creative licence, and whether Mourinho would have given enough freedom in attacking areas at Tottenham is very much up for debate.
Despite not moving for Eze, Spurs could still be on the lookout for another attacking player this summer, as their additions so far have focused on tightening up their backline.
