Gabby Agbonlahor has blasted Danny Mills on Twitter after he claimed that Jack Grealish wasn’t initially picked for England because the Aston Villa man’s simply ‘not good enough’.

Former Manchester City defender, Mills, made his comments on talkSPORT and Agbonlahor made it clear that ‘he will have words’ with the pundit regarding his claims.

There was a huge uproar when Gareth Southgate opted to leave Grealish from his initial England squad, but injuries to the likes of Marcus Rashford and Harry Winks opened the door for his maiden call-up.

Whatever opinions people have on Grealish, he now has the chance to shut people up and once again prove those doubters wrong.

He recently linked up with his new England teammates and has already begun training with them.

The Three Lions will take on Iceland and Denmark in two UEFA Nations League matches during this coming week and Villa’s captain will be hoping to earn some game time.

It’s highly unlikely that Grealish will start, but in training or if he’s given minutes off the bench, this is the time for the versatile playmaker to show what he is all about.

There is clearly some doubt from Southgate’s perspective about what Grealish can bring to the table, but this is his chance to win him over.
