Tottenham Hotspur have a high-quality superstar on their hands in the form of Destiny Udogie.
The 20-year-old could rightfully argue that he has been the best left-back in the Premier League during these opening eight games and a key reason why Ange Postecoglou’s side are sitting top of the Premier League table.
Well, things have just got much better for Destiny Udogie because his Tottenham form has been rewarded with his first international cap with Italy.
Over the weekend, he came on in the second half during Italy’s much-needed 4-0 win over Malta for their Euro 2024 qualifier – next up it’s England at Wembley.
After that moment, Destiny Udogie took to Instagram to express his delight as he wrote ‘dream chaser’ and ‘blessed’.
In the comments section of the defender’s post, Micky van de Ven sent an eyes heart emoji to his teammate, Emerson Royal sent heart emojis, whilst Spurs goalkeeper Brandon Austin told him it was ‘well deserved’.

More to come from Udogie
The long-term potential that Udogie is showcasing here must be very exciting for the Spurs fans because, in recent times, the feeling is that the club’s recruitment has been pretty poor.
Yet, with Udogie showcasing such strong performances, Yves Bissouma has also come to the party, as well as Pape Matar Sarr.
Those two struggled under Antonio Conte last season, yet are looking like different animals altogether under Postecoglou.
