Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told the club’s official website that Emile Smith Rowe will resume training this week.
Arteta made the comments about Arsenal attacking midfielder Smith Rowe after the friendly match against Juventus at the Emirates Stadium this past weekend.
The Arsenal boss has outlined the importance of the 22-year-old, who can also play as a winger, and is ready to welcome him into the team.
The youngster had surgery in September to sort out of his groin problem.
Smith Rowe has made four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season.
The Arsenal no. 10 made 21 starts and 12 substitute appearances in the league last season, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists in the process.

Mikel Arteta on Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe
Arteta said about Smith Rowe this past weekend: “[Emile] hasn’t been able to train in the last few days but hopefully he can start [to train] next week.
“He’s been out for a while now – he needs some time to get back to speed.
“We really need him and we’re going to welcome him with both arms, because he’s a really important player for us. We need him fit on the pitch.”
Encouraging
In our opinion, it is very encouraging to hear that Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe will be back training this week.
Yes, the Gunners are doing well without the English youngster at the moment, but you cannot argue that Arsenal are a better squad with him in it.
Tue, Smith Rowe will have to work hard into the team, but having him as an option for the second half of the season will enhance Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title this campaign.
