Celtic fans have taken to Twitter in anger after the club announced that Gordon Strachan would be returning to Parkhead on a short-term deal.
What’s the story?
Well, the Bhoys have announced that Strachan will be returning to Celtic Park on a three-month consultancy project.
The 64-year-old will oversee activity in the Football Academy, the Women’s team and also the club’s B team.
Strachan will provide recommendations about how to improve these areas to Chief Executive Dom McKay for the short time he’s at Parkhead.
Strangely, the former Scotland manager will also continue his job at Dundee.
Now, it seems as if the Celtic fans on Twitter aren’t very happy with this move from the club, and we don’t blame them.
Why are Celtic fans unhappy with Gordon Strachan?

Strachan won three Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish League Cups and one Scottish Cup while at Celtic Park.
He was hugely successful, so why has his return received such a bad reception?
Well, we feel the fans are annoyed as McKay has often outlined his plans to ‘modernise’ Celtic.
In our view, hiring a 64-year-old to oversee changes is the exact opposite of modernising.

Also, the fact Strachan will be using his energy to focus on the job back at Dundee is a concern.
If someone is consulting the Chief Executive about potential improvements, you’d want them to give it 100% of their attention.
For now, let’s see how the Celtic fans on Twitter reacted to the club’s announcement…
