Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been reacting after FootMercato reported that Bertrand Traore picked up an injury in a behind closed doors friendly on Sunday.
Liverpool beat Villa 4-1 on Sunday and there was reportedly injury added to insult as Traore suffered a hamstring problem.
The winger had surgery on a problem earlier this summer, and while he was slowly but surely getting back to full fitness, he’s reportedly had a setback.
We’ve not heard anything official from Dean Smith or Traore himself, but with FootMercato being a reputable source, it’s fair to say there could be weight to this.
Understandably, after a poor opening day showing against Watford, Villa fans were gutted to hear that Traore will be out of action for the next few weeks.
The Villans need to get points on the board and build some momentum after an underwhelming start to the season, but this update doesn’t help their chances at all.
