Park Ji-sung has told TMW that Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min will come good in the final weeks and months of the Premier League table this season.

The former Manchester United and South Korea international star is a big fan of his compatriot Son, and believes that the Tottenham forward is “a special player”.

Park has urged the Spurs fans to be patient with the 30-year-old.

And he believes that the South Korea international forward will come good.

Park said about Son: ”It’s hard to win the Golden Boot in the Premier League, very difficult. Son is a special player but when the team doesn’t do well, even the individuals struggle.

“Then he got injured, recovered, then in the last matches he proved his importance.

“It just takes time. Just wait for him because in this final months of the season, he will be an extra weapon.”

Staying positive

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur fans should stay positive about Son Heung-min.

Yes, the 30-year-old is having a bad season, but we know just how good Son is.

After all, the Spurs star scored as many as 23 goals and gave seven assists in the Premier League last season.

And in 2020-21, Son scored 17 goals and gave 10 assists in the league.

So far this season, the forward has scored six goals and provided four assists in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Bild Journalist Christian Falk has told CaughtOffSide that Borussia Dortmund are putting pressure on Julian Brandt to sign a new contract amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Falk wrote: “It’s a pity that Julian Brandt is injured at the moment because he’s been playing very well for Borussia Dortmund and now the national games have arrived

“Of course, Dortmund heard about interest from the Premier League – especially Arsenal and Tottenham, we heard – and that’s why they’ve been putting pressure on the player; they want to have talks with him and his father to work out a new contract.

“So you see, Dortmund are getting nervous because they know, in his head, the possibility of a Premier League move is being considered. Now, they’re pushing to get him signed up on a new contract. But Arsenal and Tottenham would be interesting for Julian.”
