Harry Kane’s relentless consistency is what makes him such a fearsome ‘weapon’ for Tottenham Hotspur, teammate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg told Sport BILD.
The phrase ‘night and day’ comes to mind.
With their talismanic captain recuperating from yet another ankle injury, Spurs looked bereft of creativity or cutting edge during successive 1-0 defeats to Chelsea and Brighton.
It was no coincidence that, once Kane returned for Sunday’s clash with West Brom, Tottenham produced their most threatening and complete attacking performance in many weeks.
England’s number nine opened the scoring with a typically classy finish, all the while spraying exquisite passes from side to side in a manner reminiscent of a latter-day Zinedine Zidane.
According to Hojbjerg, a fit and firing Kane makes Tottenham a completely different animal, teeth-bared and tails up.
“Harry is our best player. And of course when you lose your best player, it’s difficult,” said the summer signing, who hails the striker’s impact at both ends of the pitch.

“What sets Harry apart is that he always stays the same, he’s always one hundred percent reliable. If you think he must be tired today, it suddenly turns into a boom.
“When the team is in trouble, he strikes in his own penalty box, fires the balls out of the danger zone and is back in the opponent’s penalty area seconds later. He’s a weapon.”
Kane is arguably the most complete centre-forward in world football today, combining the lethal finishing of a world-class number nine with the creativity and combination play of a visionary number ten.
In all competitions, he has produced 21 goals and 14 assists in 31 games across 2020/21.
