Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that Oleksandr Zinchenko is a weakness for Arsenal in defence and Rob Holding isn’t good enough to ‘get you over the line’ when you compare Mikel Arteta’s side to Manchester City.
On Sunday, as Arsenal recorded a 2-2 draw at Liverpool, both Oleksandr Zinchenko and Rob Holding came under the spotlight for the wrong reasons.
At 2-1, Holding gave away a cheap penalty in the second half, only to watch Mohamed Salah fire his spot-kick wide of the post, just like he did against Bournemouth a number of weeks ago.

But then the killer moment came when Zinchenko, who was about to be subbed for Kieran Tierney, got nutmegged by Trent Alexander-Arnold, as his cross ended up finding Roberto Firmino who scored – it was recently suggested that Arsenal fans will be ‘delighted’ the Brazil star is going to leave in the summer.
It needs to be noted that Holding isn’t the number one, that’s William Saliba, but the France international is currently out injured.
Nonetheless, this is what Agbonlahor had to say about, both Holding and Zinchenko when comparing Arsenal’s squad to their Premier League title rivals, as he told talkSPORT Breakfast (12/04/23).
“You look at Arsenal’s defence (compared to Man City’s),” said Agbonlahor. “Zinchenko would be a weak part defensively.
“Then, Saliba is out, so Holding isn’t the quality that is going to get you over the line.”

ZINCHENKO HAS BEEN A TOP PURCHASE
With the ball, and from an attacking sense, especially in the first half, Zinchenko was cooking for Arsenal at Anfield and has been all season long.
It’s just that pressure moment cost his team a goal and it made matters worse given the fact that he was going to be taken off by Arteta.
Either way, Arsenal have to remain positive and see this as a point gained in their quest to become Premier League champions.
