Blackburn Rovers supporters heaped praise on Leeds United loanee Barry Douglas after he helped their side record an important 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on Sunday.

Whilst the Leeds defender didn’t have an assist to his name during the 1-0 win, he did secure the clean sheet and was involved in the build-up to the goal as his cross-field pass eventually resulted in Joe Rothwell putting the ball into the back of the net.

Blackburn fans felt that this was Douglas’ best game in a Rovers shirt after a slow start to life at Ewood Park.

The 31-year-old has won promotion to the Premier League with both Wolves and Leeds during his career and he will be hoping to add Blackburn to his list.

Tony Mowbray’s side are five points outside of the play-off places and will be hoping they can get their engine going and charge up that table.

Douglas’ experience during what will be a tough end to the campaign will be crucial, but Rovers have a good mix of youth and experience in their squad.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Blackburn fans reacting to Douglas’ performance against Boro yesterday.
